A little help goes a long way
Ready for your first service.
A practical guide for restaurant owners, hosts and guests.
Set up your restaurant
Create an account, verify your email, then choose your restaurant name, booking address and timezone. The setup creates a dining room, six tables, lunch and dinner hours. Review these defaults before sharing your booking link.
Make your booking page yours
In Settings, add a description, contact email, phone, address, cuisine, logo and cover image. Choose your maximum party size, booking window, cancellation cutoff, and whether reservations confirm automatically or need staff approval.
Plan your service
Use Hours & Closures to set service periods, special hours, closures, turn times and pacing limits. In Floor Plan, arrange tables and save combinations. Use Sections & Shifts to assign staff, and Pre-shift Briefing to prepare for guests with allergies, occasions and special requests.
Share your link or widget
Your public booking address appears in Settings. Share it on your website or social profiles. For a form inside your own website, copy the booking widget snippet at the bottom of Settings. Guests can reserve without creating an account.
Run the host stand
Open Bookings or Floor Plan, seat arriving reservations and walk-ins, advance course states, move parties and clear tables when guests leave. Seating and clearing create the service history. A mistaken service action can be undone within two minutes.
Stay in touch
Guests receive confirmation and change emails with private manage links. Reminders and completed-visit feedback use scheduled emails. Managers can check Email Delivery for provider acceptance and retry status. Guests can unsubscribe from optional reminders and follow-ups.
Manage a reservation as a guest
Open the private link in your confirmation email to add the visit to your calendar, change the date, time or party size, or cancel. Online changes close at the restaurant’s cutoff. Contact the restaurant directly if you need help after that time.
Smart Table currently uses email notifications. Payments, deposits, SMS and POS connections are not part of the booking flow.
